Why Maintaining Raw Hair Matters -- and Why It's Worth the Investment.

Raw hair is the highest quality hair on the market. It comes from a single donor with no processing, treatments or fillers and because of this, it behaves just like natural human hair. It costs more than virgin hair, but this is because it lasts longer and gives a more natural look - but only when properly cared for. Here are some tips:

Wash before installing

Shampooing before installation helps the hair settle and remove any factory residue, but only with sulfate-free shampoo. Sulfate can strip moisture and make your bundles appear dry and/or frizzy. You also want to deep condition your hair regularly. You can do so by applying conditioner, letting it sit for 15-30 minutes, and finally rinsing with cool water (to lock in moisture).

2. Avoid heavy oils/products

Too much of this can weigh your hair down and cause tangling.

4. Limit heat styling

Constant heat can shorten the life span of your hair. However, when applying heat, use a heat protectant.
